Description
Highly collectible luxury writing instrument launched in 2016. This limited-edition pen was released to commemorate the 400th anniversary of the legendary playwright's death,
Every element of this pen draws inspiration from Shakespeare’s life, works, and the historic Globe Theatre:
- The Body Color Scheme: The black precious-resin cap and white precious-resin barrel mimic the flags flown by the Globe Theatre—white to denote a comedy or light subject, and black for tragedy.
- The Cap Shape: Features an octagonal shape that replicates the architecture of the Globe Theatre.
- The Barrel Texture: Crafted with a fine guilloche pattern meant to represent a traditional quill pen.
- The Clip Ring: Emulates the distinct gold earring worn by Shakespeare in his famous Chandos portrait.
- The Center Band: Engraved with gold-plated symbols representing his most significant plays (Tragedies, Comedies, and Histories).
