Great comebacks - A legendary Seiko 5 Sports style in a new edition
Another legendary style returns to Seiko's lineup, this time reimagining the beloved lines of the 2000s SNZH models with two new Seiko 5 SPorts models. The new models strengthen the SKX series and create an authentic early-millennium feel in two colors, silver-white and deep green dials, stylish hands and indexes, and a subtle use of gold.
HDB004 and HDB005, old and new friends
Seiko continues to evoke past favorites with two new releases. The new models in the Seiko 5 Sports collection may be familiar to those who have been following the world of Japanese watches since the beginning of the millennium.
At that time, the SNZH series pieces were introduced, which were made in the spirit of the early era of the world of diving watches, with distinctive dial-hand-bezel combinations.
The watches in the series stood out from the average pieces, despite their sporty appearance, they had a more elegant appearance thanks to the details.
The early pieces were very popular among Seiko modders, or watch builders. The basic spirit was there, so modified dials, hands and bezel inserts soon appeared, with which it was possible to build unique pieces while maintaining the character of the watch - in the world of watches, modded, modified pieces often become favorites of the community, which is a strong sign of a successful basic model.
Seiko 5 Sports HDB005K1, the unmissable color combination
There is a color combination in Seiko watches that is a sure hit in every collection and style: green and gold. We have seen it many times, one of the most famous is perhaps the dial and hand pairing that regularly recurs in the modern Alpinist models, but it also appears in higher categories.
The appearance of the HDB005K1 was not left to chance either, sporty appearance and elegance are in order, green and gold colors are in order, so success is easily predicted.
Unlike its sibling model, the bezel color here does not differ from the dial color, it has the same shade of green, and the numerals and markings are also in gold.
As we have become accustomed to with Seiko watches - and especially with sports and diving watches - the Lumibrite coating on the hands allows the watch to remain readable for a long time even in the dark, which is also a trademark of the brand.
